Woburn Safari Park has now reopened fully after the winter and the animals are all out in the reserves and ready for some spring sunshine. The drive-through safari takes approximately an hour but visitors may tour the reserves as often as they like during the day with the last entry at 5 p.m. But there is lots of fun and activity in the walk around Wild World Leisure Area so it is a full day out at the Safari Park.
On the Easter Bank Holiday weekend there is a funfair suitable for small children in addition to all the other talks and demonstrations, indoor and outdoor playgrounds including the popular indoor Mammoth Play Ark.
New for this Easter – a special production by the Rear View Mirror Theatre Company who are bringing one of their `wild productions’ to Woburn Safari Park. Rear View Mirror create educational shows that manage to make adults laugh as much as the children. With no live animals in the show, actors bring characters to life such as Gibbs the Gibbon and Lisa the Lemur. Pantoesque performances involve the audience and leave everyone with a smile on their face.
Woburn Safari Park is open daily from 10 a.m. – 5 p.m. The Woburn Passport ticket is also available which can either be used on the same day of visit or within 12 months to visit Woburn Abbey, home of the Duke of Bedford and his family. Woburn is signposted from Junction 13 off the M1 and is just 15 minutes from Milton Keynes or Bedford.
