After leading Wet Wet Wet to a plethora of multi-platinum singles and albums, peaking with Love Is All Around’s sixteen week stint at the top of the charts, Marti Pellow has gone on to a successful solo career as well as West End and Broadway seasons in Chicago. His most recent album, Sentimental Me, inspired by playing at the famous Ronnie Scott’s Jazz Club, was released in April this year and he has just completed a sell out UK tour as well as starring as The Arbiter in Chess in Concert at the Royal Albert Hall.
Starring alongside Marti Pellow are ‘Witches’ Ria Jones, Rebecca Thornhill and Poppy Tiernery.
Ria’s credits include Mrs Overall in the national tour of Victoria Wood’s Acorn Antiques, Carla in Nine at the Donmar Warehouse and Florence and Svetlana in Chess. Rebecca is no stranger to Eastwick having played the role of Sukie at the Prince of Wales Theatre in London’s West End credits include Mrs Banks in Mary Poppins, Roxie Hart in Chicago and Lina Lamont in the West Yorkshire Playhouse production of Singin’ in the Rain for which she was nominated for an Olivier Award. Completing the trio, Poppy has recently toured as Giulietta in Aspects of Love. Other credits include the title role in Mary Poppins at the Prince Edward Theatre, Cosette in the national tour of Les Miserables and Ellen in Miss Saigon at the Theatre Royal Drury Lane.
The Witches of Eastwick is directed by Nikolai Foster, one of the country’s leading young talents. His production of Aspects of Love starring David Essex played to sell out houses at theatres around the country.
