This weekend, thecentre:mk in Milton Keynes is planning a midnight launch for the release of the latest Harry Potter book, 'Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows' which will go on sale at one minute past midnight on the morning of Saturday 21 July, at Waterstones and WHSmith.

Throughout the weekend, visitors are invited to come along in fancy dress and enjoy magical entertainment by Officials from the Ministry of Magic, a Ford Anglia car replica, art and craft workshops and spot the broomstick competition with great prizes. The Potter books have already sold 325 million copies worldwide, and have been translated into 64 languages.

Waterstones Midnight Opening
Saturday 21 July, midnight – 12.30am (queue from 10pm on Friday via Door 5)
Officials from the Ministry of Magic will be entertaining the crowds, and if you come in fancy dress you could go home with a wicked prize too!
WHSmith on Midsummer Arcade will also be opening at midnight.

Spot the Broomstick competition
Friday 20 – Monday 23 July
Find the broomsticks hidden around thecentre:mk and as if by magic you could win a wizard Harry Potter prize from HMV! Pick up an entry form for details.
