If you want to see the best cyclists in the world racing on the roads of the UK free of charge, book a day off work and come and join the crowds to see the Tour of Britain come to Milton Keynes.
The 5th edition of The Tour of Britain cycle race 2008 commences on Sunday 7 September with a spectacular new London Circuit taking riders past some of the capitals most famous landmarks, including Big Ben and the Tower of London, and culminates after 8 days of gruelling road racing with the eighth and final stage into Liverpool on Sunday 14 September.
Sixteen teams comprising 96 of the world’s top riders will be competing for daily honours and the famous Tour of Britain Yellow, King of The Mountains, Sprints and Green Jerseys.
Stage Two is The Tour of Britain’s third consecutive visit to the South East of England, a stage supported by the regional development agency SEEDA. It will see the teams start the stage with a loop of the Milton Keynes city centre and from there they will pass through Bletchley and Aylesbury, finishing the stage in the market town of Newbury.
We want to make sure all the teams and riders get a great send off, so come and cheer on the riders as they start Stage Two of this spectacular road race and see some of the best cyclists on the world including members of our own victorious Team GB.
