Spanish restaurant & tapas bar, Ortega is bringing the spirit of Fiesta to the Theatre District of Milton Keynes this August with the arrival of Tomatina! Recreating the excitement of Spain’s World-famous tomato-throwing festival, which takes place each year in the town of Buñol, Ortega’s Tomatina will take place on Saturday, 21st August as part of the annual Theatre District Fair.
Residents of Milton Keynes will be spared the traditional messy deluge of juice and pulp, as participants will be given tomato shaped sponges to throw instead! Kids dining at Ortega will also be invited to take part in face-painting and balloon modelling in the restaurant and there will also be a bouncy castle outside the restaurant to keep them entertained. All proceeds collected on the day – including waiting staff tips – will be donated to the Action for Children charity.
Ortega will be sampling a selection of Spanish food throughout the day, and will also serve its full menu, from tapas dishes such as spicy chorizo and stuffed pimento olives to traditional Spanish Paella, along with pitchers of Sangria, Spanish beers and refreshing soft drinks for the kids.
