In October 2011, regional shopping destination thecentre:mk will be open to guests until 8pm, from Monday to Friday with free parking after 6pm. The centre launch this big change inviting shoppers to an extravagant 1940’s ‘Big Band Night’ of live music and dancing, in Queen’s Court on Monday 3 October from 7pm, to raise funds for the Royal British Legion.

For the month of October, as destinations across the city celebrate the work of our armed forces, thecentre:mk host a  Glen Miller style evening, featuring Fiona Harrison and the MK City Orchestra. To be part of this exciting evening, shoppers can book a table for 4 for £10 with all proceeds going to the Royal British Legion.

Robert Hall, centre director at thecentre:mk comments, “We are delighted to announce that the centre will now be open until 8pm, Monday to Friday with free parking after 6pm. Since the introduction of destination dining, it is a great time for the centre to open later, encourage our guests and city workers to visit and enjoy a relaxed, informal late night, evening retail and dining experience.”

As the centre moves toward the Christmas retail period, where traditionally stores would open temporarily in December until 9pm, thecentre:mk makes a bold and distinct decision to step forward making a permanent extension in the centre’s opening hours. The centre will now open until 8pm Monday Friday, with free parking after 6pm throughout Christmas and into 2012.
