Stoke Goldington Steam Rally
Published - Sunday, 20 April, 2008
The Stoke Goldington Steam Rally and Country Fayre is set in farmland in the heart of Stoke Goldington, about 15 minutes drive from Central Milton Keynes. Open from 10am to 5pm on Saturday and Sunday - it's truly is a full day's entertainment. You can see 25 full size steam engines as well as stationary engines, classic cars and vintage tractors. There are many other activities to enjoy including a fun fair, live music and children’s shows!

Stoke Goldington was one of the first Steam Rallies to introduce a Craft Fayre with traditional rural crafts to its list of attractions. From small beginnings, with just a handful of outdoor crafts stalls, there is now a large indoor craft fayre in a giant marquee with exhibitors from all areas of the country displaying a wide selection of quality fine arts and crafts.

All rural crafts are interactive displays - you can even have a go at some of the skills learned in days gone by including thatching, skep, bodging, trug, spinning, net making, spar, hurdle, clog making and many more. If you are still none the wiser...best get along and find out!

You can also try out the helicopter rides, see the gun dogs in action, watch the Punch & Judy shows and don’t forget the daredevil stunts and shire horse ride. There is so much to do you might have to come back for a second day!

With plenty of FREE car parking, an excellent selection of food stalls and an all day bar with traditional real ales, it really is a great day out. Tickets are just £6.00 for adults, £4.00 for student and OAPs and all children go FREE. For more information click here.
