SpongeBob SquarePants, international star of the screen, is taking to the UK stage for the first time ever! The squishy sea sponge, his best starfish buddy and all their fun friends from Bikini Bottom are coming to Milton Keynes in a live action show, SpongeBob SquarePants: The Sponge Who Could Fly! Catch him at Milton Keynes Theatre from 18 to 21 February 2009.

Perfect for all ages, the show is a story of courage and coming of age, which tells the tale of SpongeBob’s desire to ‘fly’ with the jellyfish of Jellyfish Fields and his persistence in achieving his dream. Will SpongeBob take flight, or will his dream come crashing down on the ocean floor? It’s a tale too exciting to be kept undersea!

SpongeBob SquarePants: The Sponge Who Could Fly! A New Musical is written by Steven Banks, head writer and story editor of Nickelodeon’s SpongeBob SquarePants, co-producer of the series The Adventures of Jimmy Neutron, Boy Genius and the author of over 20 children’s books.

The musical features original songs and adaptations from composer/lyricist Eban Schletter, who has written music for numerous film and television shows, including SpongeBob SquarePants, as well as recording music for his own label.

Original direction is by Gip Hoppe with original choreography by Jenn Rapp, set design by David Gallo, costume design by Mirena Rada, lighting design by Richard G Jones and the flying sequence designed by Paul Rubin. The UK director and choreographer is Alison Pollard.

The magical set transports the audience to SpongeBob’s underwater world. So dive into the exciting live show about dreams, friendship and reaching new heights, book now at Box Office 0870 060 6652 (bkg fee) or visit www.ambassadortickets.com/miltonkeynes
