Steven Houghton plays Adam Pontipee, the role created by Howard Keel in the famous film version. Best known for playing the lead role of Ed in the BBC series Bugs and Greg Blake in London’s Burning, he has played starring roles in West End shows including Desperately Seeking Susan, Blood Brothers, Martin Guerre, Cats and Spend Spend Spend, for which he received an Olivier nomination.
Susan McFadden, winner of ITV’s popular Saturday night entertainment series Grease is the Word and fresh from her West End starring role as Sandy in Grease, plays Milly Pontipee. Her previous theatre credits include Kathy Seldon in Singin’ in the Rain and Rodgers & Hammerstein’s The King & I, both at the Olympia Theatre in her native Dublin.
