Important Royal Visit Information

HM Queen Elizabeth II and HRH The Duke of Edinburgh will visit Milton Keynes on Thursday 29 November as part of the Celebration of 40 Years of Milton Keynes. There will be some parking and access restrictions around the sites they will be visiting. For more information see below:

PARKING

  • There will be NO public parking on the Stadium:MK site
  • Parking permits for football matches will not apply for this event
  • Parking is available for 500 vehicles at the National Bowl North car park (entry from H7, Chaffron Way), on a first come, first served basis
  • Blue Badge parking for disabled people will be available at the Stadium:MK for event ticket holders
     
    ACCESS
  • A free Park and Ride service will operate from the National Bowl to the stadiummk site from 9.00 am. The last bus will run from the Bowl at 10.00 am
  • After the event Buses will run from the Drop off point outside the stadium from 12.45 pm until needed.
    Alternatively, there is a Redway route from the National Bowl to the stadiummk. This is a walk of 25 - 30 minutes and is signed
  • Taxis will NOT be allowed into the site for drop off or collection. Users are advised to use the ASDA site for all taxi services
  • Bus services will be as normal on Grafton Street and Saxon Street and operate approximately every 15 minutes from the City centre and Bletchley bus Station
  • Stadium:MK is accessible from Bletchley Railway Station by foot and is a 30 minute walk via Bletchley Town centre
          
    ROAD CLOSURES AND RESTRICTIONS
  • Midsummer Boulevard between Saxon Gate and Witan Gate will be closed between 9.30 am and 12.30 pm
  • Parking in area outside and near Jury's Inn will be prohibited from early on 29th until 12.30 pm
  • Parking outside the station for taxis and some disabled parking will be prohibited from 9.30 am to 11.30 pm
  • Parking in Ardwell Land and Oxman Lane in the vicinity of the St John's Ambulance headquarters will be prohibited from 10.30 am  to 1.00 pm

Please note: The exact timings may change to suit the visit and the removal of restrictions will be undertaken as soon as possible after the Queen has left the area.
