Women across Milton Keynes are being invited to enter Cancer Research UK’s Race for Life 2008. And the charity is asking them to pass on the invite to friends, family and colleagues now that entries are open for the Milton Keynes events.
This will be the 14th time Cancer Research UK's Race for Life has come to the town and like last year there will be two Race for Life events in Milton Keynes, taking place at Campbell Park on Saturday 30 May and Sunday 31 May, at 11am.
Race for Life is the UK’s largest women-only fundraising event, where women of all ages come together and walk, jog, or run 5k to raise money to help Cancer Research UK beat cancer. Many women who take part in Race for Life do so for a personal reason; some women are cancer survivors while others take part in memory of or to celebrate the lives of loved ones affected by cancer.
The Milton Keynes participants will be part of a total of 750,000 women from across the UK, taking part at over 260 events. Together they will be hoping to raise a total of £50 million to fund vital life-saving research into the prevention, treatment and cure of all types of cancer.
