Published - Monday, 08 August, 2011
The Milton Keynes Open Air Film Festival at Campbell Park is back for its fourth year and it’s bigger and better than ever before with a Friday Night Drive In on 19 August and six free films on Saturday 20 August and Sunday 21 August.

The Parks Trust is presenting Campbell Park’s first Drive In Movie – the classic spooky comedy Ghostbusters on Friday 19 August, tickets cost just £10 per car, and then six free films over two days.  On Sci-Fi Saturday, 20 August, there are aliens and action aplenty with Avatar, ET and Back to the Future.  Sunday 21 August is Smooth Sunday with films about friendship, relationships and romance – Toy Story, Twilight and South Pacific.

Film-lovers will be able to see some firm family favourites on a giant screen using the latest LED technology. The films will be shown at the following times:

Fri 19 August - Ghostbusters - 7.00pm - DRIVE IN ONLY
Sat 20 August - Avatar - 1.00pm
Sat 20 August - ET - 4.00pm
Sat 20 August - Back to the Future - 7.00pm
Sun 21 August - Toy Story - 1.00pm
Sun 21 August - Twilight - 4.00pm
Sun 21 August - South Pacific - 7.00pm

So grab your friends, pack a picnic, popcorn, seats, blanket or rug and get an afternoon, evening or weekend’s entertainment for free.  There will be an array of food stalls, children’s funfair rides and the Heart FM megaslide and Heart presenters Stuart and Natalie to keep you entertained between films.

Julie Dawes, The Parks Trust’s Events Coordinator, said: “Our open-air cinema attracts thousands every year and we wanted to say thank you to supporters of this event by increasing the number of free films and adding the exciting new Drive-In Night.  We’re really grateful to Heart FM for being our official media sponsor and to Geoffrey Leaver Solicitors who are generously sponsoring our Saturday night film Back to the Future.”

Melissa Page, Partner at Geoffrey Leaver Solicitors LLP, added:  "We are delighted to be supporting The Parks Trust for a fourth year with this fabulous event. As a firm that has grown with Milton Keynes over the years we are proud to be contributing to something that brings such enjoyment to people and families in and around Milton Keynes."
