An abundance of famous faces come to Milton Keynes this season, including popular singer and songwriter, David Essex, chart topper Marti Pellow, Hart To Hart’s Stefanie Powers, Richard E-Grant, and renowned dancer and TV star Wayne Sleep, to name but a few.
The new season spirals onto stage with an exotic feast of acts from undisputed masters of martial arts, The Chinese State Circus (28 Jan–1 Feb). The world famous Imperial Ice stars bring you a breathtaking performance of a classic tale in their brand new production of Cinderella On Ice (3–7 Feb).
In February All The Fun Of The Fair (9–14 Feb) starring David Essex comes to town and is bursting with astounding stunt sequences, crafty cons and plenty of rock ‘n’ roll. Its half term and the kids are getting under your feet, SpongeBob and his zany pals arrive in a new musical, a tale too exciting to be kept under the sea, SpongeBob SquarePants The Sponge Who Could Fly (18-21 Feb).
Marti Pellow stars as the devilish Darryl Van Horne in The Witches of Eastwick (23-28 Feb). Based on the popular 80’s movie, three desperate housewives in small town America get more than they bargained for when they wish for the man of their dreams. This is followed by three ballet masterpieces bought to you by the Russian State Ballet and Orchestra of Siberia (5-7 Mar).
Based on the true story of tumultuous events in a 1960’s London suburb, comes the first major revival of the award-winning production, Pack of Lies (9–14 Mar) prior to its much-anticipated return to London after 25 years. Samuel Beckett’s Waiting For Godot starring Ian McKellen and Patrick Stewart will at Milton Keynes Theatre from 16-21 March.
God of Carnage (24–28 Mar) played to packed houses at the Gielgud Theatre earlier in the year and now comes to Milton Keynes Theatre with a stellar cast including Richard E Grant. Welsh National Opera (31- 4 Apr) present a brand new production of Mozart’s masterpiece The Marriage of Figaro, Donizetti’s sparkling comedic tale of romance The Elixir of Love and Richard Strauss’s powerful one-act opera Salome.
Fasten your seatbelts for the comedy of the year as Boeing Boeing (6–11 Apr) lands on stage on the wings of West End success. Come to the Cabaret! Sassy, shimmering and sensational. Samantha Barks the hugely popular winner of TV’s I’d Do Anything sizzles onto stage as legendary Sally Bowels.
One-night shows in the new season will have you laughing out loud; Les Ballet Trockadero de Monte Carlo, Jimmy Carr, Rob Brydon and Irish funnyman Ed Byrne.
