Get involved with City Status Bid

A new city will be announced as part of Her Majesty's Diamond Jubilee celebrations in 2012, and Milton Keynes is one of 25 applicants for city status. MK Council is launching a photo competition where one image of Milton Keynes submitted by a resident will be chosen to feature on a special Christmas card to be sent to The Queen.
You can submit your favourite shots of Milton Keynes on the special council Facebook page. One image will be chosen to feature on the Christmas card we are sending to The Queen.
Please upload your images on the Facebook page by the end of November 2011. To find the page, please click here or search on Facebook for 'Milton Keynes City Bid Photo Competition'. Alternately, you can email your photos to communications@milton-keynes.gov.uk.
Please note:
- By sending the Council a photo or image you are agreeing it can be used by MK Council to illustrate a Christmas card to be sent to The Queen in 2011.
- All images submitted must be your own work, must not break any law or copyright, and you must ensure any photos of people were taken with the permission of the subject.
- We will notify you via Facebook or email if your image has been chosen, and we will highlight the chosen image in PR material.
