From 9 – 24 December, volunteers will wrap your pressies in exchange for a small donation, with all money raised going to charity, Advantage Africa. It is hoped that the scheme will raise at least £6,000, which will be used by the charity to help people affected by poverty, disability and AIDS in Kenya and Uganda.
The organisers are still looking for volunteers to help over this period, if you're interested email Jackie Andrew-Barrett on jackiegiftwrap@btinternet.com or call her on 07732 650397.
Centre Manager, Martin Hindson said: “We’re pleased to be supporting Advantage Africa once again with this great initiative. It means we can offer our customers another fantastic service in Midsummer Place, whilst helping a very worthwhile cause at the same time.”
Midsummer Place is now operating Christmas opening hours – visit www.midsummerplace.co.uk for more information on this and to find out more about the gift wrapping scheme.
