All current employees will be retained and additional staff may be employed at the hotel.

Refurbishments will take place at the hotel; banqueting suites will be upgraded, air-conditioning will be installed in all bedrooms within the next 18 months, as well as the introduction of room service breakfast and the time saving ‘breakfast check-out’.

David Jones General Manager, comments; “We are delighted to be re-branding as a Holiday Inn, as the brand is a perfect fit for this hotel. We will continue to offer the same warm welcome to all our guests and look forward to showing all our customers the new services we will offer as a Holiday Inn”.

Andrew Cosslett, Chief Executive of InterContinental Hotels Group plc, said: “The conversion of these hotels to Holiday Inn marks another significant win for IHG and recognises the strength of the Holiday Inn brand.
