Regional shopping destination thecentre:mk will soon be hosting the La Dolce Vita Italian Market in Middleton Hall. Running from 29 April – 2 May, the market will present a little slice of Italy, offering customers the chance to discover a Mediterranean diet which could help them live longer.

Delicious food products on offer will include a deli counter with Parma ham, salami, and cheeses including parmesan and mozzarella, olives and olive oils, Italian sweets and ice cream, nuts, dried fruits, breads – and more! Visitors will also be able to sample the traditional Sicilian food on offer and indulge themselves with the famous Murano glass and fashion jewellery stall.

Jackie Tracey, Events Manager at thecentre:mk commented on the show, “There has been growing evidence supported by the NHS* and the British Medical Journal* that a strict Mediterranean diet of legumes (beans, peas), cereals, fruits, vegetables and fish can offer protection against heart disease, cancer, Parkinson's and Alzheimer's.

And whilst the Italian Market doesn’t promise the key to eternal life, it will give customers the chance to dip their toe into a healthier future.”
