Milton Keynes Theatre has announced that legendary TV and film actor Henry Winkler will be the bad guy you love to hate this Christmas as he takes on the role of the dastardly Captain Hook hoping to steal the show in this year’s magical pantomime – Peter Pan. Starring alongside Henry will be ex-Eastender Louisa Lytton, making her pantomime debut and further star casting is still to be announced, so watch this space.

As one of the first American stars ever to be cast in a British pantomime by First Family Entertainment who produce the hugely successful show each year at Milton Keynes Theatre, Henry Winkler is delighted to be playing the perfect panto villain in the city this year - "Being in panto equals joy, and playing Captain Hook gives me joy. How great to share this fantastic adventure with the audience in Milton Keynes", he said.

Henry will be joined by ex-Eastender and Bill star Louisa Lytton who will be flying high playing the lead role of Peter Pan. Best known for her critically acclaimed roles as gangster’s daughter Ruby Allen in BBC1’s Eastenders and more recently as the likeable PC Beth Green in ITV1’s long-running police drama The Bill, Louisa was also a much-loved participant on BBC1’s hit show Strictly Come Dancing.

Speaking about theses announcements, Milton Keynes Theatre’s Chief Executive Elizabeth Adlington said, “We are extremely privileged that such an iconic international star will be enjoying the family pantomime tradition here in Milton Keynes, and I look forward to welcoming him to our theatre”.

Peter Pan is at Milton Keynes Theatre from 5 December 2008 to 18 January 2009, and is the perfect adventure for kids, and adults who never never grew up!
