Milton Keynes gets all Spooky!
Published - Monday, 13 October, 2008
You can join in some spooky events this Halloween in Milton Keynes. The Parks Trust is organising some creepy activities - come dressed as a ghost, ghoul, witch or pumpkin and enjoy some witch-’crafty’ games and fun, or join a ghostly trail through the woods with spine-tingling tales. Why not carve out a pumpkin and bring it along to help you see your way in the dark! And watch out for things that go bump in the night!

The Trust’s Halloween Hocus Pocus event takes place on Tuesday 28 October, 9.30 or 12.00, at Campbell Park. It includes spooky games, stories and crafty fun, including making a flappy bat and lantern. There is a charge of £2.50 to cover materials.

Alternatively join a host of skeletons, devils, vampires, witches and wizards on a ghostly walk on Friday 31st October. The walk will introduce you to some of the real creatures that live in the night, owls, badgers, moths and bats as well as a few surprise visits from some chilling local spirits.

The Ghoulish Trails and Tales will start at 6.00pm for families with young children and at 7.00 – 9.00pm for those who can handle seriously scary stories! Each Halloween trail costs £3.00 per person and a secret meeting point will be arranged upon booking.

Booking is a must as these spooky walks and Halloween craft activities are hugely popular. Children must be accompanied by an adult. Call The Parks Trust on 01908 255379 to book.
