On Saturday 25th and Sunday 26th June, Frosts Garden Centre will be celebrating their 65th Birthday with a whole weekend of entertainment. From 10am-4pm each day, there will be product demonstrations, food tasters, live music from The Woburn Sands Band and activities for the whole family to enjoy.

A milestone in the family run business, the celebratory weekend will be a celebration of everything that Frosts represents, British home-grown produce.

The family-owned and run garden centre, founded by the late Harvey Frost in 1946, is expecting its largest ever harvest of home grown plants and produce this year. In celebration, Frosts, for the first time will be giving free behind-the-scenes tours of the nurseries where the Food Hall and Restaurant produce is home-grown, starting at 10am (Saturday only).

James Frost said: “65 years is a landmark for the company and we are proud of where we have come from to what we have achieved today. Our birthday weekend is going to be a huge event with plenty of entertainment for the whole family. The weekend is also a celebration of our Home Grown projects that seem to expand year on year, and are something that we are extremely proud of.”

Over the weekend there will be plenty of activity’s for the children to enjoy, including; plant your own FREE lavender pots with Blue Peter gardener, Chris Collins; a secret butterfly hunt and a “Name a Rose” Competition. There will also be a chance to win some great prizes with their big birthday raffle, meet the baby Micro Pigs and try their very own home-grown delights with live cooking demonstrations.

After a packed day of birthday festivities, guests will be able to relax and enjoy a cup of tea and a slice of cake at 1946 prices!
