Alex Gardner, who also presented the show, said “We are astounded by the high quality of the designs created by the students at this very first Young Fashion Designer of the Year event. It made judging incredibly hard, and it is very clear from all the hard work and creativity that went into the designs that Milton Keynes is brimming with young fashion designing talent. I wouldn't be surprised if we saw some of those designers showcasing on a London runway some day! Congratulations to all the winners and everyone involved”.
Centre Manager for Midsummer Place, Martin Hindson said “This is a great opportunity to display and celebrate the young talent of Milton Keynes and we are already getting excited about the event for next year, we are pleased that Midsummer Place can support this type of occasion. I would like to thank all the students that entered for the unbelievable amount of effort and time that they put in. Congratulations to all the winners and we hope to see you all again next year!”
A special mention goes to everyone who made the show possible, including; Caffé Italia; Debenhams; MKFM; Style Magazine; MK Academy and the centre management team.
