Bletchley Park, home of the World War Two codebreakers, is holding its annual fun-packed Easter event on Easter Monday 24 March 2008.  There will be plenty to do for all the family, with Easter competitions, activities and fun and lots of chocolatey prizes to be won.

In addition to all this, there will be a ‘Hunt the Chick Trail’ in the Toy Museum, a hands-on workshop where the kids will learn how to make an Easter-themed moving toy and a colourful display of Easter objects dating from the 1880s to the present day, including greeting cards, real and manufactured Easter eggs, egg holders and examples of chocolate moulds.  As usual, there will be free guided or audio tours of Bletchley Park throughout the day (subject to availability).

Another attraction of the event will be a fascinatingly accurate historical display ‘The Rifles’ Re-enactment Society.  As a unit of the Great War Society, the Rifles portray the riflemen of the British Army's Rifle Battalions of the Great War 1914/18.  They pride themselves on a high level of authenticity; many hours are spent researching the men and events that shaped the "War to end all Wars".  The Rifles demonstrate the equipment, training and tactics used by the British Army of the Great War.

A captivating new book, ‘The Real Enigma Heroes’ will also be launched at the Park on Easter Sunday and Easter Monday.  Author Phil Shanahan will be signing copies of his new book which tells the incredible story of HMS Petard and her courageous crew.

All the Easter fun starts at 10.30am and goes through to 5.00pm. Under 12’s are FREE and normal Annual Season Ticket prices apply, so visitors can enjoy a whole year of special events and activities at Bletchley Park for a one-off admission fee of just £10.00.
