Stride out for Walk to School Week

Theme park mascot Gully Mouse is looking for walking buddies to help mark May’s National Walk to School Week. The Gulliver’s theme park favourite wants to get involved in the event, which sees more than one million people ditching the car and opting for a healthier journey to school.

Gully is offering local schoolchildren the chance to invite him on their walk to school.  Schools wishing to invite Gully to accompany their pupils on a walk can send their requests to pr@gulliversfun.co.uk

Gulliver’s managing director Julie Dalton said: “It’s so important for children to adopt healthy attitudes and habits at the earliest possible stage – we embrace the idea of getting active in all of our theme parks, so Walk to School Week is something we enjoy getting involved in.”

Organised by Living Streets, Walk to School aims to improve health and fitness, reduce childhood obesity levels and help the environment by cutting down carbon emissions.
