Santa’s grotto at thecentre:mk has been shortlisted for the Daily Mirror ‘Golden Reindeer’ Award. On Thursday 15th December, thecentre:mk grotto will appear in the Daily Mirror, nominated as one of the top eight grottos in the country.

The ‘Golden Reindeer’ award has been launched in association with the Daily Mirror and toyology.tv. It will be awarded to the grotto which receives the most nominations following the Daily Mirror coverage this week. To be shortlisted for this award, families from Milton Keynes and the surrounding area who have visited the grotto at the Christmas Storyland Adventure, have nominated Santa’s grotto as they think it is the best shopping centre grotto in the UK.

Samantha Balcomb, from Milton Keynes has played a key role in nominating thecentre:mk and will appear in the Daily Mirror on Thursday. Samantha commented “I really wanted to nominate thecentre:mk grotto as our family had such a wonderful time when we visited, a few weeks ago. The main reason being the overall experience was so easy and it was incredibly enjoyable for the whole family. I have been to so many other grottos before and the treatment we received and the ease of booking online, was like nothing I had experienced previously. The toy soldiers, who were Santa’s helpers, where so welcoming, cheery and happy, which was just brilliant for keeping the little ones entertained. It was great value for money and Santa himself interacted with the children perfectly- it was just a magical family moment and I would love thecentre:mk to win!”

Santa’s grotto at thecentre:mk is up for a tough competition, standing against 7 other major shopping centres, from across the UK.  Details on how to vote will be posted onto Santa at thecentre:mk’s Facebook page on Thursday.
