The one day courses, held in and around the Trust’s beautiful parks, are designed to help people enjoy nature and get them thinking about what they can do to help the environment in Milton Keynes.
Brand new for 2012 are ‘Introduction to drawing and painting outdoors’ which sees the start of an exciting collaboration with Artworks in Great Linford, and ‘Introduction to pond wildlife and management’ where you can learn how to get the most from your garden pond by creating an environment where wildlife will thrive.
Other highlights include courses on gardening for wildlife, beekeeping, hedge laying and tree identification.
Jess Smith, Events and Education Ranger at The Parks Trust, said: “Our Discover courses are a great opportunity to learn a useful new skill and we’re particularly pleased that they are delivered by local Milton Keynes experts who feel passionately about their subjects, the environment and their local parks.”
Running monthly throughout the year (except August) the courses represent great value for money from just £5 to £15 per person.
All the courses are very popular and get booked up far in advance so booking is essential. You can book online at www.theparkstrust.com or call us on 01908 255379 for more information or to reserve your place.
