As part of national Open Farm Sunday, on Sunday 12 June 2011, park rangers and the Trust’s farmer Luke Stacey will introduce you to our grazing animals plus a whole array of farm animals that you can get close to and pet.
As well as trails, a bouncy castle, children’s games and craft-making there will be traditional farming demonstrations and the opportunity to discover how grazing animals help The Parks Trust to attract wildlife and to care for some of your local parks.
This free event takes place from 10.30-2.30pm at Ouse Valley Park. Visitors should park at Manor Farm, Old Wolverton Road. Parking is free and no booking is required.
The Parks Trusts’ Farm Day is part of Open Farm Sunday, a nationwide event organised by LEAF (Linking Environment and Farming) to give people an insight into how food is produced and the nature that thrives in our hedgerows.
