Midsummer Place wraps up for Xmas
Published - Tuesday, 23 November, 2010
From 9 December, Midsummer Place Shopping Centre will be welcoming the return of its Christmas gift wrapping service.

To give Christmas shoppers a helping hand, volunteers will be setting up a gift wrapping station alongside the Customer Information desk (next to Debenhams) with donations being collected for Advantage Africa. This service will be available up until Christmas Eve and hopes to raise £8000 for the charity.

Advantage Africa identifies and supports Africa’s ‘inspirational people’ who work with and create opportunities for men, women and children who are doubly disadvantaged by disability or HIV/AIDS as well as poverty.

Martin Hindson, Centre Manager commented: “We’re really pleased to see the return of our gift wrapping service at Midsummer Place and of course to be able to support Advantage Africa once again. It’s great to be able to offer our customers this helpful service, whilst giving something back to a most deserved charity.”
