The Stables in Milton Keynes will be celebrating one of the greatest ever classical composers in March, when it presents a two-day festival of concerts, workshops, talks and family events dedicated to the music and life of Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart.
Entitled Marvellous Mozart, highlights of the festival include two concerts by the renowned music group Ensemble 360, which will feature many of Mozart’s most celebrated works. Classic FM presenter John Suchet will be giving a talk based on his recently published book on the life and times of Mozart. Also included on the programme is a family concert designed to introduce younger audiences to Mozart’s music.
Matthew Sanders, Head of Marketing at The Stables commented: “This is the first time that The Stables has put on a purely classical music festival. We’ve tried to ensure there’s something for everyone in the programme – from those who want to discover Mozart’s wonderful music for the first time to real enthusiasts who want to explore his life and music in greater detail.”
The festival is being staged in partnership with Sheffield-based promoters Music in the Round, with whom The Stables has enjoyed a successful relationship over many years.
