The National Express bus company run a regular bus service from the Coachway to Luton airport which takes approximately 45 minutes. Alternatively, the Virgin Bus VT99 picks up at the front of Milton Keynes railway station and the shopping centre and runs to Luton Airport approximately hourly with a journey time of just under an hour - this service does not operate through the night.
Road
Milton Keynes was designed for realistic levels of traffic, yet in designing a city for the car, close attention has been paid to other modes of transport and pedestrians too. Cycling
Just as Milton Keynes is known for its Grid system and roundabouts, it should also be known for its wonderful cycling routes. Milton Keynes has its very own dedicated cycle paths which wind there way around the city; these are known as the 'Redways.' There is 272.5km of them all over Milton Keynes. The redways can be identified by their dark red colour and extra wide paths.
